With summer finally here, it’s time for beach vacations, camping trips, water parks, picnics, and other outdoor activities reserved for the warmer months.
Of course, in many places, summer also means scorching temperatures, blazing sun, and mandatory air conditioning. While a tropical getaway and relaxing day at the beach may be on the top of your summer vacation list, you may start to rethink those options when the temperatures begin to rise.
Still, complaining about temperatures rising to 80 or 90 Fahrenheit will seem pretty pathetic after checking out this list of the hottest places on Earth. Just reading about these burning destinations will get you running for a cold shower. With temperatures too extreme to bear and climatically harsh and remote locales, the top 5 hottest places in the world are not to be messed with.
Counting down from the least hot (but still unbearable) in the top 5 to the hottest, here’s our list of the hottest places in the world.

They are known universally as some of the world’s most hated, feared and brutal individuals. Once untainted and innocent youths, as men they evolved into dictators, despots, egomaniacs & warmongers.
Together they have collectively destroyed, tormented and played key roles in the deaths of millions of individuals – either through their divisive philosophy, unrelenting fascism, promotion of racism, political propaganda design to oppress the masses & strengthen authority or their unquenchable thirst for power resulting in war.
We take a look at the likes of Adolf Hilter, Joseph Stalin, Saddam Hussein & several others during their formative years. It makes for chilling viewing, little did the photographer know the apparent monster they were photographing or that they would go on to write some of the darkest chapters in recorded history. 16 more images after the break...

The Wheel House is a live performance in which two acrobatic performers entertain audiences with the slow-paced rolling travel of their mobile home. The interior space of the circular home is designed to look just like a normal house, with doors, windows, curtains, pots and pans, and even a bed. The project is produced by Acrojou Circus Theatre, a group formed in 2006 by artistic directors Jeni Barnard and Barney White. According to their website, the team has so far created six original shows, toured within nine countries, and performed to nearly 60,000 people.
The Wheel House Act
During The Wheel House act, two traveling characters dressed like hobos repetitively climb over each other, moving a portable home along a straight path to nowhere. Paired with a soundtrack, the creaking wheel inches along, allowing viewers to walk alongside and witness the artistic display. The pair stops at intervals to perform every day living activities within the tiny space. Acrojou Circus Theatre describes the piece as, "Theatrical acrobatics, comedy, and breathtaking moments of risk, all housed within an exquisite, hand-built structure."
